"Good morning," said the little prince.

"좋은 아침." 어린 왕자가 말했다.

"Good morning," said the merchant.

"좋은 아침."  장사꾼이 말했다.

This was a merchant who sold pills that had been invented to quench thirst.

이 사람은 갈증을 시원하게 해소시켜주도록 발명된 알약을 파는 장사꾼이었다.

You need only swallow one pill a week, and you would feel no need of anything to drink.

일주일에 한 알만 삼키면, 너는 아무 것도 마실 필요가 없다는 것을 느낄 거야.

"Why are you selling those?" asked the little prince.

"왜 이것들을 팔고 있어?" 어린 왕자가 물었다.

"Because they save a tremendous amount of time," said the merchant.

"왜냐하면 어마어마한 양의 시간을 절약할 수 있어" 장사꾼이 말했다.

"Computations have been made by experts. With these pills, you save fifty-three minutes in every week."

"전문가들이 계산을 했는데. 이 알약으로, 매주 53분을 절약할 수 있데."

"And what do I do with those fifty-three minutes?"

"그러면 나는 이 53분으로 뭘 하지?"

"Anything you like . . ."

"네가 하고 싶은 거 무엇이든지..."

"As for me," said the little prince to himself,

"나라면," 어린 왕자가 중얼거렸다.

"if I had fifty-three minutes to spend as I liked, I should walk at my leisure toward a spring of fresh water."

"만약 나에게 내가 하고 싶은 대로 쓸 수 있는 53분을 갖게 된다면, 나는 맑은 물이 있는 샘으로 느긋하게 걸어갈 텐데."
